Where did ICM come from?

Impact Canada’s history goes back to 1941 when Western Tract Mission was founded by George W. Elliot, an enthusiastic witness and Gospel tract worker. Armed with a commercial printing press, WTM distributed close to a million gospel tracts across Canada every year at its peak. At that time, WTM’s mission was: “Workers together with God.”

In 2012, the Director, Arnold Stobbe, sought young believers to pass on the leadership of WTM. The name “Impact Canada Ministries” has been adopted since then. Elliot’s vision remains at the heart of ICM today: working together with God to reach Canadians with the Gospel, while mobilizing confident witnesses of Jesus Christ.

What does ICM do now?

ICM is prayerfully reaching and teaching Canadians using a Gospel - centered approach that models God's love and nurtures a humility toward His Word. We mobilize confident witnesses through equipping and training that cultivates a lifestyle of evangelistic disciple-making while partnering with like-minded ministries to accomplish this mission.

Our Core Values

Rooted in Prayer: Personal and corporate prayer are essential to ICM, as we are dependent on God for everything.

Bible Based: We are committed to follow, uphold, and teach God’s inerrant word.

Gospel Centered: The Gospel of Jesus Christ, is central to all that we do and who we are.

Servanthood: Building up individuals, ministries, and churches both inside and outside of ICM.

Local Church: We are committed to partnering with and supporting local churches.

Discipleship: ICM engages in ministry that multiplies through mentoring, teaching, and evangelism.

Partnerships and Finances

  • As a registered charity, ICM works hard to operate efficiently with low overhead and will not go into debt for any reason.

  • To avoid duplicating our efforts, ICM seeks like-minded ministries that adhere to the above values to partner with.

  • ICM strives to make all of the resources we carry available free of charge online and as cost-effective as possible.

  • The work of ICM is done as unto the Lord with no expectation of remuneration.
